If It Floats, It's a boat!
Scott and I have made a pact to do a five mile hike every day not only to get exercise, but to get to know the area. Hiking is a great way to meander, meet people and find "hidden gems" that are often missed in a bus or car ride. Grenada is full of sites - from the beautiful to the wacky. Today, we'll highlight a "wacky" sight; this "boat" pictured above was created (it appeared) solely out of junk...on it was a baby doll, a mini shopping cart, a fan, some bananas, a shoe, a few conch shells, some old floor tiles and all sorts of other random findings. The bow was straight up Styrofoam...Styrofoam! (We were pleased to see two empty 50 gallon oil drums as the primary floatation devices)! I think it's hilarious (if not genius) so I had to snap a pic much to the creator's pleasure who told me to "Put it on YouTube". It just goes to show, what one person considers "junk", another might consider, well, an integral boat part!
What do you think; junk or art?
Love,
Brittany & Scott

Whatever floats your boat right? Hey, someone had to say it. : )
Totally art! Look at the boat in Captain Ron...
