One of the biggest perks of travel is the ability to experience and get a glimpse of another culture. Grenada has an incredibly rich cultural history - from being discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1498 to being colonized by the French and British in the 1800's; from narrowly escaping communism in 1979 to the peaceful democracy Grenada enjoys today - this magical spice isle has never lost it's Arawak and Caribbean roots. Check out a little slice of life in the lively fishing village of Gouyave. I'll let my video speak for itself.

That looks amazing!u If you go about 150 NE to Barbados, there is a village called Oistin that does a Friday fish market that is also not to be missed. I know they say Barbados is a difficult island to sail to, but I would feel like I was depriving you if I didn't strongly recommend a visit while you are so close, even if for nothing other than Oistin's. I'd also hit up some of the gardens and the rum distilleries ( the one that is actually on Mount Gay is call Mount Gilbo and was awesome).
Keep living the dream for this of Idaho are still planning. We'll be on your heels in a year or two!
