We have the best readers. Honestly, we do. Every single day I get emails from you that make my heart sing. You have no idea how happy it makes me to read your praise, to hear your stories, to know that there are people out there who have found value in this blog and who are smellin' what I'm stepping in, so to speak. This medium can be a bit one-sided with lil' ol me behind this computer screen and all of you out there in cyberspace. It's nice to know my words aren't falling on deaf ears, or blind eyes, rather.
The kindness you've bestowed on us extends beyond words on a computer screen as well. When we gave birth to Isla, a veritable flood of gifts came to her from around the world. Literally, around the world! When we mentioned we might be road-tripping down here, offers of places to stay and potential meet-ups along or route came flooding in. When I wrote about Scott's little tool debacle, we got a slew of emails of people offering up their own (and even one SUPER generous follower that offered to buy us some- we declined). I cannot express how touched we are by the generosity of our readers. I cannot tell you how humbled I am by how good people can be. I wish I could reach out of the computer and give you all a big hug or at the very least, adequately express my gratitude. There really is something to that pay-it-forward concept; all the good that has been done to us makes me want to go out there and give it right back! So, thank you. You make all the work I put into this blog oh-so worth it.
Now enough of that Pollyanna stuff...
It looks like we'll be moving our boat today (potentially with the help of a blog friend!). We've rented a monthly live-aboard slip along a canal where we plan to stay for as long as we see fit. We're also looking into renting a little apartment nearby for a month while we get our boat into work mode. Our old buddy Walt is coming is down for ten days to help us out, and a floating construction zone is no place for a baby currently in the throes of oral fixation!
We'll let you know how it goes! Thank you, as always, for following along!
